Our mission is to help Jewish parents realize the dream of their lives-giving their children high quality education that would make them valuable assets and leaders in their respective communities. Crippling costs associated with sending children to Jewish schools impact many families. As a result we are facing an unfortunate situation of many not being able to afford ‘the luxury‘ of Jewish education. Our goal is to resolve this crisis and to support our community – raising the next generation that will be able to receive the right Jewish education, carrying on our tradition and values into the future.
We provide an opportunity to every Jewish child and his parents, to receive the best Jewish education he or she deserves! The Jewish Union of Russian Immigrants (JURI) is a charitable, cultural, and educational organization serving the community since 1978, when it was established as a not-for-profit organization under chapter 501 (c) 3 of the US Tax Code. It is one of the oldest non-profit community-based organizations created by the Russian-speaking Jewish immigrants. Currently, JURI has more than 800 members and we are a member organization of the Council of Jewish Émigré Community Organizations (COJECO), which represents 400,000 people from the Russian-speaking New York émigré community.
